About bloody time

The new web site is finally launched, be it after a few false starts. I have to admit that it was totally my fault brought on my total lack of inspiration. I had a look at the usual candidates Stargate SG1 and Atlantis on sci-fi, Stargate sg1 official web site, even took a peak at Andromeda and Battlestar Galatica to see how they were put together...

Why?

Because I wanted the Stagate:Horizon web site to have the same feel as any other produced TV show.

With the amount of effort that the Horizon staff put into getting a 50+ page script onto the Internet every Thursday that it deserved a decent looking web site. And I hope I have achieved just that.

The biggest difference between this new site and the old one is the fact that I now have PHP at my disposal and, while I am still a PHP novice, it does allow me the luxury of having a database. This means that I no longer have to update every single bloody page (via textpad) but instead only have to insert one extra row into the database and Bob’s your uncle it’s there in all the right places…
